Taiwan reported Saturday two more groups of middle school students catching the A/H1N1 influenza, which forced the two schools to close the concerned classes, Xinhua reported.

Of the 40 students who showed flu symptoms, eight were confirmed to have A/H1N1, according to Taiwan's "Department of Health (DOH)".

The cluster-infected cases occurred in a senior high school in northern Taiwan and a junior high school in southern Taiwan.

Four of the eight confirmed patients were from a class at the southern school. The class was closed for 10 days since Friday. Three classes in the northern school reported flu patients.

So far, five schools on the island had been closed for A/H1N1.
