Over 130,000 trucks transport cargoes from Turkey to Germany, Romania, Italy

From January through September 2019, 130,191 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Turkey to Germany, Romania and Italy, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

Some 68,645 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Turkey to Germany from January through September 2019, which is 5 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

Moreover, 7.35 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment from Turkey by trucks accounted for Germany during the reporting period.

From January through September 2019, 32,536 Turkish trucks transported cargoes to Romania, which is 9 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

Some 3.48 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment from Turkey by trucks accounted for Romania during the reporting period.

From January through September 2019, 29,010 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Turkey to Italy, which is 13 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Some 3.10 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment from Turkey by trucks accounted for Italy during the reporting period.

From January through September 2019, 114,443 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Germany, Romania and Italy.

Thus, from January through September 2019, 65,611 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Germany which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

From January through September 2019, 38,031 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Italy which is 13 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Meanwhile, from January through September 2019, 10,801 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Romania which is 6 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

According to UND, 934,404 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through September 2019, which is 5 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

From January through September 2019, the share of cargo transported from Turkey by trucks accounted for 77.60 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment by vehicles.

Some 269,653 foreign trucks transported cargo across Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 3 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

From January through September 2019, the share of cargo transportation from Turkey by foreign trucks amounted to 22.40 percent.
