The amount of passenger traffic by air carried out in Turkey from January through April 2020 declined by 41.1 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Over the indicated period, the passenger flow on domestic airlines amounted to 19.4 million people, which is 40.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
In the reporting period, over 14.1 million people were transported by external flights, which is 42.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
According to the ministry, more than 11.9 million passengers were transported via three main airports in Turkey’s Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya cities.
