BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. As many as 3.87 million passengers were carried by the Dalaman International Airport in Turkish Mugla city in September 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, this figure was 1.15 times more than in the same period of 2021.
In the reporting month, the airport's domestic air passenger traffic equaled 1.4 million people (a growth of 27 percent), whereas international passenger traffic reached 2.4 million people (a growth of 2.56 times).
During this period, the airport's air cargo traffic amounted to 47,782 tons in September 2022 (an increase of 1.61 times). At the same time, the airport's domestic air cargo traffic equaled 12,162 tons (year-on-year increase of 16 percent), whereas international cargo traffic reached 35,619 tons (a growth of 2.56 times).
Furthermore, 35,727 flights were implemented in September 2022, which was 43 percent more than in September 2021. Meanwhile, the number of domestic flights amounted to 18,172 (a decline of 6 percent), whereas international flights – 17,555 (a rise of 2.16 times).
In September 2022, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports totaled 96.4 million people, and cargo turnover - was 2.197 million tons.
At the end of 2021, passenger movement through all Turkish airports made up 128.387 million people, and cargo turnover – was 3.358 million tons.
