Azerbaijan and Georgia plan to expand cooperation in transport sector

Development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of railway and automobile transportation is necessary, Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Ziya Mamedov told a team led by Economy and Sustained Development Minister of Georgia Vera Kobalia on Monday.

Development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of railway and automobile transportation is necessary, Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Ziya Mamedov told a team led by Economy and Sustained Development Minister of Georgia Vera Kobalia on Monday.

The Transport Ministry reported that Kobalia also voiced eagerness in development of cooperation between the two countries, particularly, in the field of railway and motorway communication.

At the meeting, the sides examined issues of development of bilateral relations, the potential of transportation of transit cargoes, the course of construction of the new railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, and other matters.
