A delegation headed by Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev will visit Budapest to participate in the third meeting of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, spokesman for the ministry Abbas Aliyev told Trend on Friday.
"The delegation consisting of officials and businessmen will take part in the Azerbaijani-Hungarian business forum on Oct. 8," he said. "A meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be held the next day."
Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev and Hungarian Secretary of State Peter Szijjarto are co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission.
Aliyev added that Azerbaijan's business and investment opportunities will be presented at the forum. The bilateral meetings will be held between businessmen.
The memorandums of cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Hungarian business organisations and those of young entrepreneurs of the two countries, a memorandum of cooperation between the navigational organisations of the two countries are planned to be signed within this visit, Hungarian Ambassador to Baku Zsolt Csutora told Trend earlier.
The specific projects and proposals on the areas of mutual cooperation, causing most interest are in construction, agriculture and tourism.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Hungary is $13.398 in January-August. Around $13.35 million falls to the share of Azerbaijani imports.
