Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov signed a decree to establish a Financial Monitoring Management under the Finance Ministry.
The decision was taken to enhance activities related to the prevention, detection and suppression of money laundering and terrorism financing, as well as to implement the "Law on Prevention of Legalization of Proceeds from Crime and Terrorist Financing."
Establishment of the new state structure is proof of Turkmenistan's practical steps towards implementation of conventions of the UN, the UN General Assembly and the relevant Security Council resolutions on combating terrorism at the national level.
