Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has attended a solemn ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva at the State Music Theatre.
The Head of state made a speech at the event.
Speakers at the ceremony included Azerbaijani Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev, academician at the Russian Medical Academy, rector of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education Larisa Moshetova, academician at the Russian Medical Academy, department head at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education Alevtina Brovkina, and chairperson of Ophthalmology Society of Turkish Speaking Countries Sunay Duman.
The ceremony featured a concert, after which President Ilham Aliyev viewed a photo exhibition dedicated to academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the foyer of the State Music Theatre.
