Kaharman Dzhazin has been appointed to the post of Directorate for preparation and organization of EXPO-2017 exhibition in Kazakhstan, the press service of Astana city authorities reported.
Kaharman Dzhazin, who holds a degree in science, earlier worked in the Institute of Phytochemistry under Kazakh National Academy of Science. Between 2006-2010 he held high positions in 'Astana, A New City' special economic zone, in 2011- 2012 he served as managing director in Kazakhstan Engineering company.
The Directorate will be responsible for logistics, security, volunteer activities, advertising and marketing services, design of the city, tourism development, souvenirs trade within EXPO-2017.
The international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 will be held in Astana. "Energy for the future" will be the theme of the exhibition. A special national company was established for holding the exhibition at a high level.
EXPO has been held since 1851. The International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE, Bureau International des Expositions) was created in 1928, which is the primary authority for registering world exhibitions.
