The Azerbaijani karateka Aykhan Mamayev reached the finals at the Baku 201 European Games on June 14.
In the semi-finals, Mamayev defeated the athlete from Kosovo, Alvin Karaqi, scoring 6:1.
Mamayev's first fight in the event with his opponent from Greece, Michail Georgios Tzanos ended with a draw, 0:0.
However, in the second fight, the Azerbaijani karateka defeated Ukraine's Yaroslav Horuna (6:3). In the last fight, he beat the Frenchman Kenji Grillon with a score of 6:1.
