Azerbaijani armed forces lieutenant Vusal Gurbanov died in an accident that took place at the "N" military unit stationed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), Azerbaijan's law enforcement bodies told Trend on July 16.
Gurbanov's death was confirmed by the press service of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. The ministry's press service noted that the matter is being investigated by the military prosecutor's office.
Gurbanov is a native of Babak District of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and has served in the armed forces of Azerbaijan since 2006.
