Azerbaijan, Lankaran / Trend corr. P.Aliyeva / A number of people were arrested in Lankaran region of Azerbaijan for theft of property.
Ismayil Mammadov, the Chief of the Investigation Department of Lankaran region Police Station, stated on 7 August that Rustamov Rustam Rafikoglu 21, the resident of Laj village of Lankaran region, agreed with Sharifov Vagif Barkhudaoglu 20 and Agayev Ingilab Mehmanoglu 21 to steal property belonging to AZVITR Limited Company from 20 July to 21 July. The aforesaid persons were carrying out construction work near the Lankaran airport take-off strip, situated in the Shilavar village of the region. The criminals managed to steal a steel fence measuring 65 m in length worth AZN 156 and 13.5m of length of steel reinforcement worth AZN 9. Rustamov and Sharifov also stole a 'Honda' generator worth AZN 1,454 from 30 July to 31 July.
As a result of an investigation, the stolen property was seized in the home of Rustamov and Sharifov. A criminal case has been filed in compliance with the Articles 177.2.1, Articles 177.2.2 and Articles 177.2.4. An investigation is in process.
