Greek president proposes Turkmenistan to enhance friendship

Greek President Karolos Papoulias said in a letter to Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhammedov that he appointed Mikhail Spinellis ambassador to Turkmenistan to maintain and enhance friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.

Spinellis' residence is located in Moscow. He submitted his credentials to Parliament's speaker. "I am well aware of his capability and zeal and sure that he will fulfill his mission and gain your approval. He will justify my trust," the Greek President said.

Newly-appointed ambassador said Greek businessmen are interested in establishing close ties with their Turkmen partners.
