Georgia, Tbilisi, May 4 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/
The Georgian parliamentary speaker once again confirmed the readiness of the authorities to initiate a dialogue with the opposition on the institutional changes at a meeting of the Bureau, which was held in Gori on May 4.
"I welcome the position of some radical opposition leaders, who are ready for dialogue. Of course, it is better to have a dialogue, rather than talking in the language of ultimatums," David Bakradze said.
Bakradze said it is desirable the dialogue to be informative. "Perhaps, there will be different positions, uncoordinated issues, but we must find common topics about which we can speak. These issues may be institutional changes. From our part, I state that we are fully prepared for dialogue," the speaker said.
However, Parliamentary Vice-Speaker from opposition Paata Davitaya said that preterm parliamentary or presidential elections can be the only way out from this situation. "Dialogue is necessary, and perhaps, the topic of the negotiations can be preterm elections," he said.
The parliamentary speaker sharply objected this opinion and stated that "it is out of the question".
