Georgia, Tbilisi, May 18/ Trend , N.Kirtshalia / The Foreign Ministry of Georgia has announced a program of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili's visit to Azerbaijan on May 20-21, said the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
During his visit, Saakashvili will meet with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and the Speaker of the Parliament Ogtay Asadov. The main purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the Georgian-Azerbaijani relations, as well as discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The composition of the Georgian delegation also includes Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, Minister of Economic Development Lasha Zhvania, the Minister of Energy Alexander Khetaguri and other officials.
During the visit, it is planned to sign a number of inter-governmental papers, including the Protocol Amending the 8 March 1996 Agreement on Free Trade, Protocol Amending the Agreement on Air Services and the Agreement on Cooperation in the sphere of intellectual property protection.
