A delegation of the EU "trio" got familiar with housing conditions of refugees in Zugdudi
The EU senior envoy to the South Caucasus Peter Semneby, head of observation mission Hansyorg Haber and the Swedish Foreign Ministry Carl Bildt met with refugees densely populated in Zugdudi.
The delegation took an interest whether refugees would return to Abkhazia if they are offered a house in the Zugdudi region. Refugees unilaterally answered that they will return to Abkhazia in any case.
In turn refugees asked about their security and the EU monitoring. In particular, they could not receive a concrete reply to a question when the observation mission will be given an opportunity to enter the territory under the Abkhazian occupation.
