Georgian vice-Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze does not observe prospect of Russia's joining NATO. "It is possible if Russian policy changes completely," he said.

Baramidze said that Georgian topic is one of sharp issues constantly discussed by the Alliance and Russia.

During a meeting of representation chamber of the congress, U.S assistant secretary of state Philip Gordon said that Russian is likely to be NATO member.

Washington is ready to consider Russia's joining the alliance if several terms are observed. Russia must meet all necessary criteria, contribute in collective security. Rest members of the alliance must support this initiative.
