Azerbaijan, Baku, June 29 / Trend M.Aliyev /

The Azerbaijani Umid Party issued a statement on flooding in the occupied Ashagi Agali, Orta Agali, Mammadbayli, Minjivan, Ordekli, Acar and other villages (total of 17 villages) of the Zangilan region of Azerbaijan because of the creation of an artificial lake on the Araz River near the Khudafarin Bridge in Iran.

The party criticized Iran's attitude towards the territories of Azerbaijan. "We call on the Azerbaijani state and the international community to express an objective opinion on this fact," the statement says.

The party regards the constant interference of all the official bodies and international organizations in the situation as important to avoid the complications.
