President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of a new building of Bahmatli village comprehensive school after Aladdin Javadov as part of his visit to Zagatala District.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility. The President was told that the old building of the school was pulled down after it was damaged as a result of a strong earthquake in Zagatala on May 7, 2012.
President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the Bahmatli village comprehensive school on September 9, 2012, which was built supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The construction work ended in August, 2013.
The President was informed that the 600-seat school occupies a total area of 4,520 square meters.
Photo stands reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s, President Ilham Aliyev`s and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva`s attention to education were installed in the foyer of the school.
The President viewed an information science room.
The comprehensive school has an auditorium, administrative rooms, a sports hall, a library, a football pitch, volleyball and basketball halls.
The Head of State praised the work done here, and wished the school`s staff successes.
