OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara congratulates Azerbaijan on holding democratic presidential elections, said in minister's statement posted on the website of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
As it was noted in the statement, international observers concluded that the presidential elections in Azerbaijan demonstrated progress towards meeting the OSCE and Council of Europe commitments and other international standards for democratic elections.
The minister congratulated the people and the government of Azerbaijan on this achievement, which is an important step forward in the democratic development of the country, and expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts for further strengthening of the democratic institutions.
