President Aliyev opens military unit in Tartar district (PHOTO)

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander in Chief Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of a newly built military unit of the Ministry of Defense in Tartar district.

Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov reported to Commander in Chief Ilham Aliyev.

There are headquarters, two barracks, a canteen, a medical center, and a laundry service in the territory of the military unit. There is also a sports village where servicemen can do different sports. The military unit is supplied with state-of-the-art equipment.

There are photo stands in the building reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s and President Ilham Aliyev`s attention to army building and their meetings with servicemen.

Under President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership, material and technical resources of Azerbaijan`s army have strengthened dramatically over the last few years, making Azerbaijan`s military one of the strongest armies in the world.
