Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in higher education between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education and the Turkish Council of Higher Education Feb. 5.
After the memorandum comes into force, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education will be charged with the fulfillment of its provisions, while the country’s Foreign Ministry will be charged with sending a notification to the Turkish government on the implementation of the interstate procedures required for the entry of the memorandum into force.
The memorandum of understanding was signed in Baku on Oct. 31, 2017.
The president also approved a memorandum of understanding on signing a preferential trade agreement between the Azerbaijani and Turkish governments, as well as an agreement on cooperation in the production and certification of seed forage plants between the Azerbaijani and Turkish governments.
