Within the framework of a working visit to Austria, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in this country on May 26, Trend reports citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the officials spoke about the occupation policy of Armenia towards Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s efforts to resolve the [Nagorno-Karabakh] conflict peacefully for almost 30 years, and the futility of these efforts as a result of Armenia’s non-constructive position.
In the course of the meeting, Bayramov noted that thanks to the counter-offensive operations of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan in response to the provocations of Armenia, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan were restored,
The minister informed about the new realities in the region after the 44-day Armenia-Azerbaijan Second Karabakh War and the steps taken to normalize relations with Armenia.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani FM answered numerous questions from the participants of the event, including the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria and the role of members of the diaspora in this context.
