The Hadrut operation was an operation of special importance in the second Karabakh war, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev said during the opening of a military unit in Hadrut settlement of Khojavand district, Trend reports.
“First of all, because the liberation of this strategic settlement provided additional support for our subsequent plans. If we had not liberated Hadrut from the occupiers, our further operations could have faced greater difficulties,” the head of state said.
