BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has met with a delegation, led by the Chief of Intelligence of the Turkish Armed Forces’ General Staff, Corps General Rafet Dalkiran, which is on a visit to Azerbaijan, the ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, welcoming the guests, Hasanov said that on instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, reforms aimed at bringing the Azerbaijani army in line with the standards of the Turkish Armed Forces continue.
Dalkiran emphasized the importance of such meetings in terms of expanding mutual cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for the development of the Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation and on other issues of mutual interest.
