On Saturday Maharram Aliyev, the chief of the Baku Central Police Department, met with the organizers of the unsanctioned rally scheduled for Sunday, Yashar Aliyev, the deputy head of the Department, told Trend.
According to Aliyev, the head of the Baku Police told the representatives of the organization that the conduct of rally without a relevant permission of the Baku City Executive Power was an illegal act.
“Organizers of the action were made a warning. Aliyev reminded them of the police measures specified by the law for preventing unsanctioned rallies and stressed the organizers of the rally were answerable for possible resistance,” deputy head of the Central Police Department stressed.
