An Azerbaijani citizen, arrested in Russia with charges in attempting to coup d’etat of 13-17 March 1995, has been extradited to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, told Trend.
Rovshan Aliyev, the arrested, is charged in accordance with Article 57 (betrayal of motherland in the old edition) of the Criminal Code. In 1996 he was put for search by the Police Department of Agdam District. As a result of operative search measures taken by the Azerbaijani law-defense forces, Aliyev was delayed in Prokofievsk city of Kemerovo Province, Russia.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office he had been extradited to Azerbaijan.
