5 agreements signed at a meeting of Azeri-Egyptian intergov’l commission

Around 5 new agreements will be signed during forthcoming 2nd meeting of the Azerbaijani-Egyptian Interstate Commission on Economic Cooperation due in Cairo from 25 to 26 December, the Egyptian embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.

During the meeting the commission plans to discuss around 20 issues unified between the experts of the countries, including draft documents on development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The documents cover development of cooperation in agriculture, trade, industry and culture.

The business forum is planned within the forthcoming 2nd meeting with participation of businessmen from the two countries, the same source said. The event will consider the establishment of direct business contacts and prospect of investment.

10-15 delegates from Azerbaijan will participate in the business-forum.

The Egyptian co-chairman is Faiza Abul Naga, the Communications Minister, the Azerbaijani co-chairman - Heydar Babayev, the Minister for Economic Development.

The Azerbaijani minister is expected to hold several meetings with the members and meeting of the Egyptian government.
