Nat'l campaign on immunization against measles and roseola starts with participation of Azerbaijani president

A national campaign on immunization against measles and roseola started at Orphanage 1 on Monday (27 Feb). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and world renowned musician Mstislav Rostropovich honored the ceremony, Trend reports in reference to a private television channel ANS.

Organized by the Vishnevskiy-Rostropovich Foundation, UNICEF, the World Health Organization and the Azerbaijani Health Ministry the 2-week campaign will cover over 3

million people aged from 7 to 29. The vaccination will be made at medical, education and other relevant institutions free of charge.

The Azerbaijani president underlined the importance of immunization against measles and roseola to ensure the health of the growing generation from both physical and moral aspects. The head of state underlined the role of the Vishnevskiy-Rostropovich Foundation, which for the next time take part in immunization against the measles and roseola.
