The Political Council of the Democratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan has made a statement concerning shut down of broadcasting of ANS TV Channel and its Broadcasting Station, where it expresses its concern about this fact, a source in the Press-Service of the Party told Trend.
The Party's Political Council appeals to the National TV and Radio Broadcasting Channel with a call not to use its administrative instruments, even if the National Council has unveiled some contradictions with the existing legislation in the media source activity.
In any case, the issue of turning to the political platitude from the legal perspective will not add the stability and authority to the country on the international arena. We think that interests of the freedom of word, democratic development, and international image of Azerbaijan suppose to focus on efforts and attention to eliminate violations if they are available, but not to deprive the publicity of the country of one of the key sources of information, the message spread by the Party points out.
