The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, exclusively informed Trend that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, will make a visit to Kazakhstan this year. According to the Ambassador, during the summit of the Turkic-Speaking States in November 2006 in Turkish city of Antalya, Ilham Aliyev had been given an invitation to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan and the invitation had been accepted by the State Head of Azerbaijan.
Gandilov said that the visit may take place this year. The questions of preparing the visit of the State Head may be on the focus of attention during the upcoming talks of the Azerbaijan Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, to Kazakhstan.
