Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / On 27 February the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, will discuss the prospects of bilateral relations with the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, said that within the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's official visit to Kazakhstan, meetings are also scheduled with the Prime Minister and Head of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. The meetings are planned to cover actual bilateral, regional and international issues, as well as energy co-operation.
Mammadyarov has already met with his Kazakh counterpart during the early part of the day. According to the Ambassador, the Ministers exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international co-operation. In addition, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries discussed issues linked with the forthcoming official visit of the Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, to Kazakhstan and agreed that the visit would take place in the summer of 2007.
