Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Ruling Party Meets with Moldova Ambassador

Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr I. Alizadeh / The deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) its executive secretary, Ali Ahamdov, met with the Ambassador of Moldova to Azerbaijan, Ion Robu, on 26 April.

The ambassador was informed on the foundation of the NAP and its role in the public and political life of the country.

The relationships between the two countries, development prospects, and the role of the Organization for Democracy and Development - GUAM ( Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova) in the implementation of regional projects aiming at settlement of both countries' conflicts were discussed at the meeting.

The NAP was founded in 1992 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The first chairman of the party was the late ex-president Heydar Aliyev. At present the party is headed by the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Ilham Aliyev.
