Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 March / corr Trend I.Alizade / Last year serious administrative measures, as well as measures stipulated in the legislation were taken against 199 employees of the Interior Ministry, Elmira Suleymanova, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman, said at a Parliamentary meeting on 4 March while delivering her report on the results of 2007.
The Ombudsman said that 144 violations of human rights for the gross treatment of citizens were found, groundless maintenance and violation of drivers' rights.
Suleymanova said that at the same time eight employees of the interior bodies were charged, 56 were demoted and barred from working in the interior bodies, 18 were dismissed, whereas 153 were given official warnings.
