The imprisonment of head of the National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis (NAGA) Dashgin Gulmammadov has been extended by two months, Sabayil District Deputy Prosecutor Elchin Sultanov said.
"The investigation into the criminal case is underway. As of now no new charges has appeared. The criminal case will be forwarded to the Sabayil District Court for examination after the investigation ends," Sultanov said.
NAGA Chairman Dashgin Gulmammadov was arrested in Baku on March. He has been sentenced to two months in jail. He is charged with fraud inflicting great damage.
The NAGA was founded in 2001. It is public and political organization opposing Georgian authorities.
