A plane on a training flight has crashed near an airport located west of the Iranian capital, Tehran, Press TV reported.
According to a report by Mehr news agency, a female pilot-in-training was killed in Tuesday's incident, which took place 10 kilometers outside the Payam International Airport near Tehran.
Further investigation has been launched into the accident; however, the cause of the crash remains unknown.
The report provided no further details on the fatal crash.
Iran has suffered a number of aviation disasters over the past decade; however, aircraft incidents have been on the rise in the past several months.
