Ted Ligety of the United States claimed back-to-back giant slalom victories in the alpine skiing World Cup on Saturday, reported dpa.
Ligety, 26, conquered the Stade Bellevarde piste in a combined total of 2 minutes 26.26 seconds from two runs.
Former overall World Cup champion Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway was more than a second behind in 2:37.31 and Italy's Massimiliano Blardone took third place in 2:27.47 minutes.
Ligety, who had also won the discipline's season-opener in Colorado last Sunday, now has seven career victories. He won the giant slalom World Cup trophy in 2008 and 2010 and is an Olympic combined event champion from 2006.
Ligety leads the giant slalom World Cup with a maximum 200 points from two races and is second overall with 221 points behind Svindal, who has 236 points from six races.
The men's World Cup continues in Val d'Isere on Sunday with a slalom.
