22 people have already died of flu in Georgia since the beginning of the year, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health told Trend on Thursday.

Only 262 cases of A/H1N1 virus and 22 cases of B/H1N1 virus have been registered in Georgia to date. Mainly they are people over 65 years old.

Previously the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Paata Imnadze declared that there is no threat of massive spread of H1N1 virus in Georgia.

The risk group includes pregnant women, the elderly, people with chronic diseases and children under 3 years old.
