Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 2

By Temkin Jafarov - Trend:

Classes at schools in Iranian provinces of Ardabil, Markazi, North Khorasan, Hamedan, Qom and Mazandaran have been postponed due to heavy snowfall, IRIB News reported.

The temperature dropped to 14 degrees below zero in the Ardabil province, according to the report.

The kindergartens and schools in the cities of Ardabil, Sareyn, Khalkhal, Germi, Bilesuvar and Parsabad have also been temporarily closed.

It is expected that the weather in these provinces will not change before late this week and therefore the classes at schools may be postponed for a few days.

The highways in the Mazandaran, Kurdistan, Razavi Khorasan and South Khorasan provinces have also been closed due to slippery roads and poor visibility.
