The atmosphere in the wonderful city, Baku, made it possible for Belarusian athletes to achieve high results at FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics, Gennady Ahramovich, Belarusian extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Azerbaijan told Trend March 6.
He made the remarks following the meeting with members of Belarusian delegation at FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics in Baku.
Ahramovich noted that he has been recently appointed Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan and has attended these competitions for the first time.
The ambassador noted that there is a wonderful hall for holding high-level events and hailed the organization of the tournament.
Further, Ahramovich said the Belarusian team especially made him glad, adding that the team won five medals.
"Baku has always been friendly with Belarus in all respects and I think that the atmosphere of your wonderful city made it possible for our athletes to get high achievements," he added.
The FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics was held March 5-6 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Athletes from Europe, Japan, Australia and the US participated in the World Cup. Overall, 77 gymnasts (46 men and 31 women), who represent 17 countries, participated in the competitions.
