There are no Azerbaijani nationals among those killed and injured in the earthquake that hit western Iran on Sunday evening, Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Iran told Trend Nov. 13.
The earthquake hit large parts of Iraq and Iran, including the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday evening. Death toll in the earthquake in western Iran has reached 328 people. Meanwhile, over 3,900 people were injured, local media outlets reported Nov. 13.
The US Geological Survey put the quake at 7.3 magnitude, placing the epicenter southwest of the city of Halabja along the Iraq-Iran border, Reuters reported.
