Azerbaijani officials review landslide zone in Baku (PHOTO)

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov has reviewed the landslide area on the Bayil slope near the Baku TV Tower, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Trend Jan. 26.
Heydarov gave instructions to the heads of relevant structures of the ministry to conduct the necessary work.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oruj Zalov and Chief of the Main Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ogtay Karimov also reviewed the landslide zone.
The officials met with residents of houses in this area and reviewed buildings in emergency condition.
Cracks on the walls of houses have recently widened in the landslide zone in Baku’s Bayil settlement. Presently, there are about 90 houses in emergency condition, 67 families have been already relocated. A special headquarters has been set up at the Sabail District Executive Power.
