BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Azerbaijan and Indonesia have agreed on increasing cooperation in bilateral trade and tourism, the Foreign Ministry of Indonesia said, Trend reports via Indonesian media.

The issue was discussed between Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Indonesia Jalal Mirzayev in the capital city of Jakarta.

According to the ministry’s statement, in particular, the cooperation in 'Halal tourism' (special tourism for Muslims), was discussed. The trade in halal products as potential field of cooperation was considered as well.

Indonesian vice president expressed hope that the trade between the two countries in the non-oil sector will growth further.

In turn, Ambassador Mirzayev expressed gratitude to the vice president for Indonesia's support in various international forums as well as in the framework of bilateral relations.

He also spoke about the 30-year anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, and opportunities to further enhance bilateral relations.
