BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $25.885 billion (considering the statistical cost of crude oil and natural gas, the customs clearance of which was not completed) following the results of January through June 2022, out of which $19.528 billion fell on exports, while $6.357 billion – on imports, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
Thus, the trade surplus exceeded $13.171 billion.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's legal entities and individuals conducted trade operations with 165 countries.
In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan exported its products to 113 countries, and imported from 151.
According to the agency, foreign trade turnover grew by 73.4 percent in current prices, and by 8.1 percent in real terms, including exports – by 14.4 percent, whilst imports decreased by 2.9 percent compared to January through June 2021.
