BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased by 17 percent or $307.6 million from January through September 2022 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).

According to the agency, Azerbaijan's non-oil export exceeded $2.1 million in the reporting period.

The country exported products in the amount of $231.3 million as of September 2022, which is three percent more than in September 2021.

"Azerbaijan increased export of agricultural products up to $774.7 billion and industrial products - $1.34 billion (an increase by 2.4 percent) from January through September 2022. The export of agricultural products decreased by one percent up to $60.6 million and export of industrial products increased by five percent up to $170.3 million," AZPROMO said.

The leaders of the non-oil export were chemical products ($299.4 million), plastic and products from it ($249 million), aluminum and products from it ($158.5 million), cotton ($149.1 million), tomatoes ($131.8 million) and other products.

The main importing countries were Russia ($591.1 million), Türkiye ($500 million), Georgia ($141.2 million), Switzerland ($139 million) and the US ($64.3 million) from January through September 2022.
