Number of companies with Georgian capital up in Türkiye

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. The number of companies with Georgian capital grew in Türkiye from January through September 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 29, up by eight companies on annual basis.

Along with the number of registered Georgian companies, their total capital also grew in the first nine months of this year, the TOBB said.

In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Georgian companies in Türkiye amounted to 16.7 million Turkish liras ($898,200), while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 8 million Turkish liras ($430,295).

Meanwhile, most of the Georgian companies (23) with a total capital of 6.3 million Turkish liras ($338,857) were registered in Istanbul.

Out of the total number of Georgian companies registered from January through September 2022, two companies are involved in the export area, 17 in wholesale and retail trade, and the remaining companies operate in other sectors of the Turkish economy, added TOBB.
