BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. The number of companies with Uzbek capital grew in Türkiye from January through September 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports on November 2.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 84, up by 43 companies on annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Uzbek companies, their total capital also grew in the first nine months of this year, the TOBB said.
“In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Uzbek companies in Türkiye amounted to 62 million Turkish liras ($3.3 million), while in the same period of 2021 this figure was seven million Turkish liras ($380,000),” the TOBB noted.
Meanwhile, most of the Uzbek companies (75) with a total capital of 54.5 million Turkish liras ($2.9 million) were registered in Istanbul.
Out of the total number of Uzbek companies registered from January through September 2022, 44 companies were involved in wholesale and retail trade, eight - in export, and the remaining companies operating in other sectors of the Turkish economy added to the TOBB.
