BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. Private enterprises comprised 92 percent of the overall construction activities, conducted in Baku from January through February 2023, Trend reports citing the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the statistics department, construction and reconstruction projects accounted for 81.4 percent, major repairs – for 7.8 percent, current repairs – for 7.1 percent, and other construction activities – for 3.7 percent of total work.
In 2022, non-state enterprises accounted for 90.7 percent of the total construction carried out in Baku, while in 2021 - 90.1 percent.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, in 2022, the country produced construction materials worth 1.085 billion manat ($638.2 million), which is 12.5 percent more than in 2021.
Construction materials worth 871.8 million manat ($512.82 million) were manufactured in Azerbaijan in 2021, which was 80.6 percent higher than in 2020.
