BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. About 200 new oil wells will be drilled in Türkiye at 20 sites by the end of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the "Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı" (TPAO) company, TPAO plans to increase domestic oil production to 90,000 barrels by the end of the year.
Oil production in Türkiye has reached a record over the past 32 years - 76,000 barrels.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of new oil reserves in the southeastern province of Sirnak on May 2.
