Aliyev/ The strike by Personnel of the Railway department of the Locomotive production association of Azerbaijani Railway in Bilajari settlement of Baku, which took place on 15 February, by the railway people who demanded rise in their pay, ended on the same day, Azerbaijani Railway said.
"The management of the Railway and Locomotive production association met with the strikers, after which they ended their strike," Azerbaijani Railway said, but it did not divulge whether the demands of the strikers were met or not. The representatives of Locomotive were not available for the immediate comments.
The train drivers of the Association earn about AZN200 as the salary and the average executives earn about AZN58. All of them demanded double increase in their respective salaries.
